About Dr. Buyers

Dr. Eliza Buyers received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University where she studied Art History and Women’s Studies. She received her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia, PA and completed her clinical residency at Exempla St. Joseph Hospital in Denver.

Dr. Buyers’ clinical practice focuses on pediatric and adolescent gynecology. She has a special interest in the menstrual problems of pre-teen and teen girls and contraceptive choices for young women. She treats a broad range of reproductive health concerns including vaginal and vulvar conditions, pelvic pain and polycystic ovarian syndrome, as well as addresses the reproductive health concerns of teens with special needs.

Her passion for improving teen reproductive health also includes work with many local non-profit organizations. Dr. Buyers is currently the Board Chair of Girls Inc. of Metro Denver, a youth development organization that inspires girls to be smart, strong, and bold. She also speaks to parent and school groups about talking to their kids about health, sex and relationships.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and eating well, mountain biking and practicing yoga.
