About Dr. Liss

Dr. Jill Liss is board certified in obstetrics & gynecology and earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include conservative and surgical management of abnormal bleeding, gender diverse gynecology care, gynecological surgery and menopause care.

Dr. Liss chose to become an OB-GYN because she appreciates that she gets to serve women at distinct and important times in their lives. She appreciates the variety of the types of care she is able to provide and is interested in women’s health issues ranging from adolescence to menopause and beyond. Dr. Liss is passionate about labor and delivery, surgical care and medical student and resident education. She carries the Department’s leadership role for medical student education.

Dr. Liss’ approach to treating patients is centered on understanding the core values and goals of each individual. She is most proud of the way she builds a connection with her patients. And she is most fulfilled when patients say that she has listened to their concerns, provided them with a safe clinical environment and helped them achieve their health goals. Dr. Liss is calm under pressure and able to provide safe and controlled emergency care when necessary.

Dr. Liss’ greatest strengths are listening skills and empathy. She can meet patients “where they are” and be realistic about health and management goals. Through listening she is able to ascertain patients’ goals and needs, and adapt her approach accordingly.

Medicine is not black and white, and each person’s goals vary. My approach is to listen and then provide medically sound information to help patients make informed decisions that work best for them.Dr. Jill Liss
