5280‘s annual, must-have guide to the best physicians in the Mile High City
Jaime Arruda, MD, and Chesney Thompson, MD have been named as two of the “Top Docs of 2014” in Denver by 5280 magazine. The prestigious listing has recognized Denver-area physicians cited by their peers as the top in their field for more than 20 years.
Both CU Obstetrics and Gynecology physicians were picked by their peers in Denver. Operating under the theory that physicians are best qualified to judge other physicians, 5280 magazine surveys doctors in the metro Denver area and asks them which doctor they would want to treat themselves and their families. The surveyed doctors make their picks specialty by specialty. Any licensed physician in Colorado can participate in the online survey.
Dr. Jaime Arruda, Assistant Professor of the University of Colorado School of Medicine and a physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a dedicated and compassionate caregiver for her patients and treats a broad range of gynecologic issues.
She provides complete gynecological services including annual exams, colposcopy, endometrial ablation and gynecological surgery with a focus on minimally invasive procedures. She also cares for BRCA patients and provides follow-up care for gynecological and breast cancer survivors.
This is the second year Dr. Chesney Thompson has been named a Top Doc by 5280, also receiving the award in 2008. Serving as chief Obstetrics/Gynecology Department of University of Colorado, he provides complete obstetrics and gynecological services, including general OB-GYN, abnormal pap smears, sexually transmitted infection and HPV.
Dr. Thompson chose Obstetrics and Gynecology because of the broad scope of primary care and the surgical and obstetric procedures that allow him to interact with patients. His personality and patience are his greatest strengths and he willing to work with patients and listen to their concerns.
